Valentine's we are participating in "The One" Adoption Event sponsored by Best Friends Animal Society. February 1st through the 15th, CARA will Reduce the Adoption Fee to $14 for ALL adoptable dogs and cats looking to find their forever homes. Each pet is UTD on Vaccines and has been spayed/neutered. Standard application approval required.  Make plans to come see us during this special time and adopt "The One" from CARA!

NEXT EVENT -- BOB COLEMAN 10K WINTER RUN on the Natchez Trace Parkway at Clinton on Saturday, Feb. 6th, at 8:00 a.m. The event is a 10K Run & 5K Walk sponsored by the MS Track Club. New Start/Finish at 1301 Pinehaven Dr., Clinton MS -- The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Dog food and other donations to CARA are appreciated. 3rd Annual Barks, BBQ, & BluesJoin us for CARA'S 3rd Annual Barks, BBQ, & Blues on Saturday, February 27th, from 6-9pm at The Hideaway, 5100 Interstate 55 N. Frontage Road Jackson, MS 39211, in the Deville Plaza. This event is sponsored by Deerfield Golf Club and Cane Creek Cookers.  Live music will be provided again this year by the awesome Blues Band, The Envelope Pushers. All you can eat BBQ plates provided and a cash bar will be open. Vegan options available by request. Tickets are $45 in advance online click here, $55 day of the event or $350 for a table of 8. There will also be a great silent auction as well! Come out for a night of great food and entertainment for a great cause! From our Back in Black Adoption Event in November 2013 -- 98 Adoption Fees were PAID by generous Facebook Followers.  To date (04/26/14), 61 shelter pets have been adopted through this event!  Please check out our listings of our Black and mostly Black Dogs and Cats who are spayed/neutered, UTD on shots and now have PAID adoption fees! Your monthly donation gives us funds we can count on each month to keep food in bowls and litter in boxes!

  • $15 a month will feed an animal for one week
  • $25 a month will vaccinate three animals a month
  • $40 a month will spay or neuter an animal
  • $55 a month will help save the life of a heartworm positive
  • dog or feed a nursing mama and her babies.
