Welcome to CARA!
CARA & ARF, two of the largest NO KILL animal shelters in Metro Area,
have teamed up to help fight pet overpopulation. Representatives from both
CARA and ARF will be promoting the benefits of spay and neuter across
area and handing out free or low cost spay neuter vouchers, while they
last! We would love for everyone to help spread the word about the
benefits of spay and neuter and help us fight the ongoing overpopulation
problem! Read more about SNIP or if you would like to fund more SNIP vouchers, please made a donation directly by clicking here and designate "SNIP" with your contribution.
THANK YOU -- What a Howlin' good time we had at Buffalo Peak Outfitters Howlin' at the Moon fundraiser for CARA! Check out our Facebook Album. Thanks to all the sponsors, silent auction donors, and our awesome volunteers!
KUDOS -- Last Tuesday the Lake Trace and North Lake neighborhood associations in north Jackson joined forces for a National Night Out that included a food drive for CARA! If you are interested in adopting please come by the shelter and see our precious ones waiting to find forever homes. Pictured is Gordon and his new family. Gordon was found wandering the streets all alone. He is a senior dog who is blind and partially deaf. We can't thank the Davis family enough for giving this sweet boy a forever home.
ADOPT-A-LEASH – If you are not able to have a pet of your own right now, please review this alternative program at our shelter. You can still make a difference in the life of a homeless animal. Click here for more details on our Adopt-A-Leash program.
